S.G. McTyre, P.C. charges the following hourly rates:

Consultation:  $220
Administrative Procedures:  $290
Civil and Administrative Litigation:  $350

Immigration matters are charged on a fixed fee basis.  Those fixed fees are determined by the amount of time we estimate that such a case will take.  However, the fixed fee will not be altered regardless of how long the case actually takes.

S. G. McTyre, P.C. generally bills on a flat fee, for immigration matters, rather than on an hourly, basis. Fees in each case reflect the individual facts presented, the urgency of the client’s problem, and the anticipated time and skill required to achieve the client’s goals. An initial retainer is required for the firm to accept the case. The balance is billed either on the basis of the completion of the various stages of the case or on budgetable equal monthly payments. The following are standard fees charged for some of the more common cases.

The Consolidated Approprations Act of 2005 was enacted on December 8, 2004. The Act changed the ACWIA fee determined on Form I-129W. The fee is now $1500 in most cases. If you are an employer with no more than 25 Full-Time Employees as defined on the Form I-129W, the fee is $750. In addition all new H-1B  and L-1 cases must be accompanied by a check for $500 from the employer as a fraud prevention fee authorized by Congress in 2004. 

L-1 Visa Petition

The legal fee for L-1 petition (fees are payable by either the company or the transferee) is $2,650. $1,000 is payable in advance of the services. The remainder of the legal fee is due upon completion of the work. The USCIS filing fee in a standard individual L-1 case is $185. miscellaneous expenses (Federal Express, photocopying) between $35 and $50.

The costs of Blanket L visa petitions vary according to the work to be done.

 

Permanent Residence through Labor Certification

Employment based Permanent Residence through a labor certification process is a long and often complicated process. This table outlines the typical case divided into five stages as described in the left most column. The legal fees shown in the second column from the left, may be paid by stages as shown here, or on a monthly payment plan. Legal fees are subject to change without notice. Please note that the additional costs as represented in the table below by the two columns on the right are subject to change and in some cases are only approximate costs. The additional costs in the fifth stage are per applicant. Filing fees for minors vary.
